Mayhem

Confident
Name: Mayhem, (I chose this name as My life seems to be in this currant state)

Where your from: Born and raised in Fla, spent the last 20 years out in Cali, moved here to KC, MO to start a new life

I was told by the V.A. hospital that I do in fact have PTSD

I served in the Marines and was part of Operation Desert Sheild and then it became Desert Storm '90-91

I know that I have problems. I have tried as best as I , alone, could deal with them.

I have no idea what to say on here or where to begin to talk about what I have seen and done.

Welcome.....Say what you feel or need to say. We all know how you feel. We have all been there too......Hugs, and thanks for being one of the ones who protect us, so we can sleep at night. Thank You......For giving of yourself...

Wendy

Hey Mayhem, welcome to the forum. Atleast your here, which means you want to help yourself, and that is the hardest part to get past. This means you truly do acknowledge you have a problem and want to help yourself. We can help you under these circumstances. Denial is a lovely thing, though not really helpful to us. I am also a veteran, Australian Army though, not US. I guess one thing veterans all know and understand is the carnage in war zones.

Thank You

Thank You veiled

She Cat,
Your welcome. It's nice to hear from time to time a simple thank you.

2quilt, thank you

anthony, yes I want to help Myself, but the bigger picture for Me is that I "have" to do this for My family.

Denial is a lovely thing, though not really helpful to us.
I thought Denial is a river in Egypt. *chuckles*

It doesnt matter which service or which country We come from, or even which wars or police actions we were in, when we speak of carnage it is very personnal to us.

Welcome... I just want to say thank you for your oath and sacrifice. My grandfather was a marine too. He was in Korea. You have all of my respect.

btw i didnt write this because she cat said it too. i really really mean it. thank you :occasion:

I gotta add My "Thanks"

I'm new to the forum as well, I'm here for learning purposes, not an actual PTSD sufferer. It is stories from you and your comrades that caused me to really start looking for an answer to the "What can I do" Question so many of us are asking. Especially since you guys are our sons and daughters, uncles, aunts, neighbors and friends, and because you were "sticking up for us" you are suffering, and in many cases, not being appreciated or acknowledged for your heroic efforts.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Hopefully, your sacrifices will not go unrewarded. There is a whole lot of love here for you.

The answer to Your question " What can I do?" is simple.......just Listen, offer no insight, no judgement just be there and Listen
