Changing Thread Titles

Some may notice, that the thread titles are changing. That is because I feel it would be easier for people to find information when they are browsing thread titles, if the titles where more descriptive of the content contained within the thread.

So I am slowly changing them, though generally leaving the originally posted title, just adding a few descriptive words to help people find what they are looking for quicker.

I figured a good time to do this is now, as the forum is growing daily, and the information will become quite confusing later down the track I feel. The search function is very good, but if it returns a thread because it contains text you searched, but the title just says something like "Hi, new here", then it makes it harder for people to find quickly what they want.

I hope this doesn't upset anyone, as its not meant too do that. Its merely meant to help people find topical information specific to their problem faster. A good example is the spouse forum, where I have now outlined those who are male and female, to whether their wife, husband, girlfriend or boyfriend have PTSD, so other males and females can find people within a similar prediciment fast, with high accuracy.

Anyway, that is why it is happening, and will continue to happen as new threads are created.

Just thought  I'd bring this to the front to help answer any questions and for newcomers here on the board.

Remembering one of the first times it happened here with me. I didn't feel it was a problem at all,

......but I was rather suprised, as at the time the 'Renewing Spirit' thread became: Ren. Spir. - Dissociation. LOL tonight:rofl:   ......

I had accepted it, trusted perhaps someone knew something more than I regarding my post and .....quickly I sought to find out what the heck dissociation actually is. Bc before finding out, I simply did not know exactly, and had something more to learn.

LOL that and if you are anything like me and forget threads, remembering only what is in them. . . .

it cuts down on aimless clicking

Half the time I am clueless about what to call a thread, so I'm grateful the title is changed or altered. And it is much easier to weed through what you're interested in, with the descriptive titles. I have no problem with it at all and actually appreciate it.

Oh, this explains it! I worried slightly when I saw the title of my introduction thread. I was certain I had simply typed "Hello" and not the rest. Thank you, I don't feel like such a forgetful old lady now.
