I am saying I correspond to the symptoms of PTSD I didn't say I have it. I haven't even listed my symptoms but I do...
trauma is not an event, and is not classic ptsd symptoms of flashbacks and all that. From peter levine; "trauma occurs when we are intensely frightened (or physically injured) and are either physically restrained or perceive that we are trapped." The result is being stuck in the "freeze" response (not where we can't move, but being stuck between fight/flight and fear). In fact, that is what trauma is, being stuck. Then "our mind creates crises to match how we feel inside". i.e. we look for an outside threat, and when one is not there currently we live in the past where there was one, or we create a new threat and dwell on that. We cannot see that we feel afraid inside and can't escape the feeling, and then desperately look for something to be afraid of. see "in an unspoken voice", peter levine. Trauma is also cumulative, so we do not have to have one big event, and rarely do.
