Where's my hashtag?

The new article about ti that I read said men were joining their voices too in using #metoo. But I did see that Milano started it out by inviting women to use the hashtag.

That's one of the powerful things about it.

Something originally meant to underscore the scope & magnitude of the problem? Is showing it's an even bigger problem than originally thought.

As a man I am grateful that women have led the way for us to heal from abuse traumas, otherwise I might not be here today....I don't especially need a hashtag for my sorrow, I just want the recognition that all men are not abuse perps!!!

So now, why does it matter if it was 1 person or 1,000,000,000 people?

It shows people how big a problem it is, people are still in denial there are many abusive people on the planet

People still keep on turning a blind eye

Why should we continue the silence?

Why the f*ck should we?!

That really must have been written poorly. I am sorry for that.
I was attempting (apparently failing catastrophically) to convey the sentiment that as a society, we should not need a billion victims before we start taking this seriously. That each individual person is of value enough to make it unacceptable for us to continue to ignore this.

I wasn't trying to shit on anyone. Or minimise anyone who is a victim of sexual assault/harassment.

Though I am done commentating on this topic, as I clearly lack the skill with the English language necessary to avoid pissing everyone off within a thousand mile radius.

I was sexually abused by both my dad and by my neighbor, who was a woman, a nurse! To say that men are doing this to women is a gross over exaggeration and hurts male survivors as well as survivors of woman abusers.
