I need bit of help before starting my next job hunt as you have already heard the news about the company not wanting me with them anymore. I was working as a Data analyst for almost 6 months with this Civil and environmental engineering company.
My qualifications are: Master of chemical engineering, BSc (Hons) in chemistry, BSc in Statistics and Chemistry.
It is ridiculous that I could not find a job for 18 months having all that qualification and working throughout my student life with 13 years of work experience in customer services. At first I started a looking for jobs specific to my qualification but after having no luck for 8-9 months, I decided to throw CV's for all sorts of jobs starting from Admin to data entry for even bank teller jobs but none of them wanted to hire me because I was too qualification for them despite having the work experience.
However, what I have learned from this job is that it is mundane. The work was repetitive and all I did for 6 months was matching excel sheets. This is definitely NOT where I want to end up in the next 5 years because I like challenging my thinking but I am confused about where to start this process again. I do know that I don't want to be stuck in a lab 24/7 or sitting in front of the computer the entire day. I want something that is a mixture of things and changes with time.
If you have any ideas on where to start this planning it would be very kind. I know that you can't tell what's in my head but where do I start my brainstorming from? I'm kinda confused and nervous at the same time because I just can't stand being no where again for another 18 months...
Thanks in advance.
