General How Do I Help My Son?

I am new to this forum and have a son with severe PTSD. His anger is the hardest to deal with and I am afraid to tell him certain things that I know will put him into a rage but they are things he needs to know. He needs to go to the PTSD clinic in Washington but, because I am with him all the time, he will not listen to me. His therapist betrayed him which made things worse. Any help I can get on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated.

I would say that you cannot deal with this you need therapist help or doc help @Chris Slachta. I might be wrong here but it is so complicated PTSD. Get another T or other professional help,

@Chris Slachta New posts/New Questions in older threads often get lost, or people are hesitant to reply to them. I would suggest starting a thread of your own, maybe in introductions, to get more responses from the community :)

Until then, welcome to the forums!

There's a lot of good information here, so you'll probably find things that will help you. People are people, with or without PTSD. We have different personalities and different backgrounds. What helps one person might not help someone else.

How old is your son and how did he come to be diagnosed with PTSD? Feeling like you were betrayed by a therapist would be hard to get past, at least for me it would.
