Lots of ups and downs since then. Eldest son divorced and remarried. Has two beautiful and wonderful little sons and a gorgeous wife. Not to bad since he didn't want kids. Waited till his mid forties. Wife is about 15 years younger. Life can change so much.

    Relationship 10 Years On

Hello lovely Nicolette, I am so pleased that a lot has improved for you both. The nay Sayers are not worth worrying about. One thing I have learnt is that "what someone else thinks of you, is their problem". Have not been around for a few years as it hasn't been necessary. Stopped seeing my...

What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

Feeling pretty good today. Back on the forum after being away for about a month. Been very sick after my last operation and ended up with severe gastro for a couple of weeks. Needed a CT scan on my brain and had nerve damage, which caused extreme vertigo. Doctor wanted me to go to a...

What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

Still not 100%. Feeling sluggish after two operations in three months, which has taken it's toll on my mind and body.

Why Do I Feel That I Don't Belong. Where Is Home?

@Tanishq, @geewhiz, @Recoveryforme, I see that many of you feel and live the same as I do. I think a lot of it is has to do with PTSD, the traumatic events that happened. The disjointed childhood and life choices that I made. Constantly searching for a sense of normality in my mixed up confused...

Why Do I Feel That I Don't Belong. Where Is Home?

The older I get the more confused I become. I like being on my own, but hate it at the same time. I feel empty, tend to shut myself off. Have massive trust issues with most people and to an extent, even with my own children. I simply can't settle anywhere. Which bring me to the issue at hand. I...

    Do You Hide It?

I am quite open with it as far as family and friends are concerned. Apart from them it's no one elses business. My diagnosis was made in 1991 when I was hospitalised. Nothing to be ashamed of as it made me understand what was going on in my head. There was more a sense of freedom. Even though...

A Question For All Who Have Abuse Induced Ptsd

@RussH ... From when I was a teenager, my mother repeatedly said to me, "You're too smart for your own good". She was my first abuser. My father who had a high IQ, was dux of his school, sexually abused me for years. I managed to complete my schooling, the only one in the family to do so. It...
