Oppositional defiant disorder
A re brand and attempted re launch of a diagnosis which has crashed into disrepute twice before
Firstly as drapetomania, a disorder amongst slaves, causing them to get uppity and run away from massa, and which was teated by means of a "good" whipping.
And later, in Soviet psychiatry, as sluggish schizophrenia, the chief symptom of which was to question authority and authority figures. Or heaven forbid, to doubt the perfection of the soviet system. It was enthusiastically treated with confinement to psychiatric hospitals, and administration of large doses of psychiatric drugs.
