More and more find myself feeling lucky...kind of ironic with some of the things that have happened, you might think.

I am lucky to be here, lucky to appreciate the sounds around me, lucky to enjoy a foggy morning or a sunny morning. Lucky to feel lucky again. And lucky to know what those things can mean. Lucky to appreciate small things we take for granted.

I am lucky to have a chance. I am lucky that I am here. I am lucky that I am world-wise in a way others seemingly cannot grasp the idea of. I am lucky that I can relate, lucky that I can understand.

Now I want to be lucky as I move on again, be lucky in getting other areas in my life together, and be lucky again in regaining my independence, not only financial, but also at an emotive level...I am lucky to work at me, lucky to see that it is me that I choose to be, and that depends on me. Without experience, many seem to not realise that.

The people that led me here are not as lucky as me. They have not got that concept of self. Which is why they do the things they do. Aren't you lucky too?

    CD,

Realizing how fortunate you are for everything in your life and that you want to keep getting better and stronger and not sit around and feel sorry for yourself...how very lucky!

Thanks for the reminder that little things (along with the big one) in our lives can help us to appreciate all we have and all we've accomplished on this journey.

    Very lucky!

I made myself a t shirt last year with 'lucky' across the chest. It felt good wearing it too!

Yes, I guess we're all so lucky in many ways and despite any excuses to convince ourselves otherwise.

Like you, I know I'm darn' lucky too, ie. to be alive, as sane as I am, most of the time, and much much more.

You've mentioned: working on yourself, being true to yourself, experience, understanding and your abilities to relate with others. All achievements which I'm confident you put to use and share, with so many in your life.

Like you've suggested, carpendiem, Many without experience or aware of their need to, never look inward and therefore they never experience passion, quite the way so many of us are fortunate to do so and can, far more easily. Bc, of the (self-reflection) efforts and work that is required of so many of us just to live.

...Hope I'm making sense, I understand, but so often family and friends without PTSD, seem to look at me without any clue as to what I'm saying.

My Best to you, carpendiem, for your continued Success's!

    Hope

I agree carpediem, everyone here is extremely fortunate. There are too many people to count, who never become sufficiently self-aware to get help for themselves or their family members. Anyone who's come to this point is extremely lucky - I know I feel very blessed!
