    Happy New Year, everyone!!
I'm just writing this post to let everyone who has been helping me know that i'm good since writing that letter; Good and Bad memories coming back... some TEARS; a tiny bit painful at times; happy at times, and i'm bracing myself for the ones that might destroy me emotionally (temporarily).
Once again, i would like to thank everyone that has been helping me, and those whose posts about their situations which have also helped me; even if they don't know they were helping me!!
Now that the holidays are over, i will 1)take a break from alcohol for a while (just a personal choice, as i am not an alcoholic) and 2)post and read more often, help myself and others, continue on my road to healing!!

Thanks again, and I wish you all a prosperous and happy 2007!!

    Josh

Same to you Josh, have an excellent year mate and get the most out of it. Good to see memories are triggering emotions mate... now to just deal with those emotions.

Happy New Year to you too Josh, and good luck with everything. I'm having a lot of memories right now too, so I know how hard it is to deal with. I wish you all the best with it!!

thanks, batgirl!! If you need to talk to someone dealing with loads of memories coming back to them, or if you just want to get them out to someone, you can always send me a PM... ok? Thanks, again, batgirl.

I started talking to my therapist today about my bad memories, so I am very sympathetic to how you feel right now. It kind of feels like I'm vomiting (metaphorical) black tar...gross and awful, but just like real puking, it leaves you feeling a smidgen better. I think this is going to be like an extended barf-fest.

    Hang in there.

Kers, I must say, a pretty accurate description of the emotional feeling that comes with releasing our negative emotions. It is hard... because the body and mind no longer have total control... well said.
