Numbness in the brain?

Confident
Over the last couple of months I've experienced 'brain numbness' upon waking up. My brain feels like it's swelling, and just a general numb feeling. There is no pain like you'd experience with a migraine and I can still feel my face. I have had several head traumas within the last 2 years so I am not sure if it's related to that or something else entirely. I am without a PCP at the moment but I have done a little research and not sure what to do with the information. Has anyone else experienced this? It's happening enough times to cause concern.

There are no nerves endings in brain tissue. So, anything you are feeling will be related to the things that surround the brain, if there's a physical cause. Or, it could be an imagined physical feeling relating to your fears about the head traumas.

Any other symptoms?

Yes that's true and I agree. It's definitely a real feeling and not a phantom feeling. I read about possible nerve damage of some sort, or at least that's what several sources say. Or abnormal blood pressure levels perhaps? It feels like there is swelling in my brain, nausea, pressure, grogginess/heaviness behind my eyes, overall discomfort but it's not centralized/localized like a migraine. I'm just reaching out to see if anyone has gone through this or if it's something to be concerned about. Perhaps I should go see a specialist.
