Hello everyone:) I am just curious how many of you have physical health problems that are related to your past abuse?
I went to a urologist the other day and found out past CSA and abuse may be directly affecting health. Which to me is bizarre since the CSA happened long ago. I was fairly surprised at the apt when being examined the doc asked if I had been raped. I did not see that question coming and I started to cry.... sooo embarrassing. I never cry about my past, but since I was surprised and realized it was impacting my health I lost control of my emotions:( I was diagnosed with painful bladder syndrom and pelvic floor dysfunction. I think it was hard because it feels like the abusers are still able to hurt me if that makes sense? I just wanted to share and know how you all cope with the long lasting effects of abuse.
