This is "The Road Interview" format, direct from Dr. Robert Roerich himself, with permission to use this intellectual property. What is contained here is the basic interview only, not the full interview that is given by himself. The basic interview consists 15 questions, the full interview can go out to around 60 questions.

Warning: There is an old software floating around the Internet that Dr. Roerich released in 1995 that some may find. It is recommended you do not download or use it, as it is over a decade old, and what was known then, is vastly different to what is known now. The inherit flaws within software is that it gives choices to determine the outcome. The choices are basic within the software, compared to unlimited here, only what your mind produces. With choices comes flaws, and very dangerous one's at that. Instead of having available the exact answers to your images, instead when presented with choices, if your choice is not available, your mind will choose one anyway, which means the total response is flawed, thus you will be presented with incorrect information. This incorrect information can cause you to look at things that are not actually your real problems. Mental imagery has changed vastly over the last decade, knowing an exceptional amount more about the language of the mind, obstacles and image relationships, thus the software developed is flawed and dangerous to say the least. Please do not bother looking for it or using it, it should be removed from the net IMHO.

For the purposes of this forum, I am providing two parts in which to use for the road interview, to define and show people how they can get the most out of interpreting their own mental imagery, to a point.

Firstly you need to copy the road interview and answer the questions in detail.

Secondly, below the road interview, once you post your completed interview, the next post is to contain the second section, which provides a serious of questions to help you define what you answered, ie. your interpretation of the image.

Please do not get ahead of this at any stage and follow the instructions carefully and correctly. If not, you will simply be given a response to do it right before being provided your emotional state.

Instructions
  • Copy the road interview from between the "start" and "end" tags, paste it into a "new thread" that you create, and answer the questions. (place cursor in text box then press "CTRL + V" to paste into the text box)
  • Once you have answered the road interview, click "submit" to post the thread.
  • Walk away from your computer for atleast 10 minutes to clear your mind. Have a break.
  • Copy the second part that I have included under the road interview between the "start" and "end" tags and post it into a "new reply" to your thread.
  • Read the information and attempt to answer as much of your own mental projection as you can, ie. identify an image with your feeling, or colour with your feeling, etc etc. If something has sharp edges, try and tell me why it has sharp edges, etc etc.
  • An example of the road interview and what you is requested of you is my own real [DLMURL="http://www.ptsdforum.org/thread2412.html"]road interview[/DLMURL].

This is an imaginery journey down a road. Take in the sights, sounds and colours, just like a video camera recording all that lies surrounding you. Survey the scene, noticing whatis far off in the distance, the background surrounds, the weather, the season and a total image of what you view. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Try to visualize it as a picture on a canvas, but with movement, sound, colour and emotion. You are the surveyor on this journey. Draw your journey on paper if you desire, as it often shows clearer results, then attach your drawing via snapshot or scan to your post.

Q1. What colour is the road?
Q2. What texture is the road?
Q3. How solid is the road?

You continue walking and come to a river that must be crossed. There before you is the river; the size and depth are up to you. You cannot go around it but must imagine a way to cross it. Whatever you need to cross the river is already within your mind, just imagine seeing yourself do it.

Q4. How do you cross the river?
Q5. What does the water look like?
Q6. How fast is the water current?
Q7. Is there anything in the water? If so, what?

You have crossed the river and continue walking. You come to a house. Take a good look at the house. Notice the impression it makes on you.

Q8. What colour is the house?
Q9. What condition is the house in?
Q10. Does anyone live in the house? If so, who?

We continue forward in our minds journey and come to an open field. A cup is on the ground, and we stop to examine it. The cup can be of any size, shape, colour and description. Focus on it's look, condition and contents.

Q11. What colour is the cup?
Q12. What condition is the cup in?
Q13. Is there anything in the cup? If so, what?

You continue walking down the road and come to something blocking your path. It stops you in your tracks and prevents you from going forward. This is an obstacle.

Q14. What is the obstacle, and please describe it in detail?
Q15. What do you see beyond the obstacle?

Now you have had a break, go back to every question and look at your response. Try and find what you feel that your mind presented the image it did. Explain colours you chose, textures, water, cup, solids, liquids, space, objects, people, anything and everything that you wrote from your projected image, try and find what you feel to why you have that image. Don't look hard at things, instead try and look for the easy answers, as they are often the correct one's. Don't attempt to find something that isn't present, just look at each aspect for its absolute simplicity.

This is not an absolute, but something you must do in order to try and self analyse yourself. This is important. Please answer what you can, and simply define if you cannot find an emotion to a response you gave.
