Hi Kimberly, glad you found this site. It is a great place for support. As to you short statement, yes, this PTSD stuff affects relationships...especially those in committed ones. It makes it hard trying to navigate your past sexual trauma while trying to keep it from affecting your current relationship. It is a road that needs to be walked in patience and trust in each other.

Thanks and my husband had some past things that cause him to drink and he in rehab until June 22 and I get to see him on Sunday and that doesn't help me.

It makes me more upset and have anxiety attack and stuff because i wish my husband was here to support me.

Hey today is one of my bad day I'm so stress. I don't know what to do.
Try looking around in the forums -- maybe what's troubling you has been addressed before?

Do you have any coping skills? I like breathing exercises. Breath in slowly for five seconds. Pause for two seconds. Breathe out for seven seconds.

Counting how many blue objects there are. Some exercises are grounding...

Remember that it's okay to be stressed. That's the hardest for me.

I'm married and my ptsd affects my marriage.
Yes. I'm in the same situation. I've been married for 33 years (in September). I've been working on my healing journey since 1988. We just recently discovered why our marriage has been so volatile as well, so my husband is returning to therapy at the age of nearly 75!

Welcome to the forum!
