I wake up sick as a dog, go to sleep feeling terribly sick, vomit up food half the time, cough constantly, have choking and gagging fits, can't walk more than ten steps without panting for air. I have had multiple tests, cat scans, MRIs and no doctor is the least bit interested when they see that they can't do anything for me, which is obvious as soon as they look at me.

Each night I pray that I won't wake up again. Then I do and have to face another miserable day. I never go out, live alone, and my eyes are going bad on top of everything else. I don't understand why God keeps me alive. I'm just waiting for the stroke or heart attack at this point but have no one to even call the ambulance for me. Sorry to be so gloomy.

Hey scoliosis buddy
You really are going through a lot, I wish I had something I could say that could make it better for you.
What is your diet like? A lot of those conditions you've listed sound like they have an inflammation-aspect, and there are particular foods that can make inflammation better/worse.
I'm sorry that doctors haven't been helpful. Have you ever been to see a functional doctor (also called a doctor of integrative medicine)? They're different from a conventional doctor; might be worth looking into :)

I just finished vomiting violently. Yes I need to keep running to doctors trying to find one that can or will help me but just walking is so hard, even a few steps wears me out. I left out pulmonary hypertension from that list. I will try to find one but south Florida has the worst doctors. The first one I went to and told all this too just saw a fat "lazy" woman and prescribed amphetamines. They don't have any interest or ability in helping me. I just tried to see a pain specialist who naturally wanted my previous medical records. One doctor wouldn't send them and another doctor wants me to drive in and sign something before he releases them. I'm worn out from this.

It might be worth it? You never know :)

You could try researching particular medical doctors in your area online. There may be reviews you can read before physically heading out to find one.

I wish there was more I could say. You are deserving of wellness and for a medical professional to take you seriously. I truly hope that that happens. Sending gentle hugs from one curved spine to another, if you accept :)

Celiac would explain about 75% of your symptoms. Dr.s rarely make the connection and the blood test is unreliable and has a high rate of false negatives.

Oops didn't mean to hit reply, mods csc you merge?

I would recommend 2 things. Get all of your vitamin levels tested B12, D, follate, ferritin, potassium. If those come back universally low, ask for a celiac test. After you have had your blood draw go 100% gluten free for 6 weeks then try gluten again. If you started feeling better and then got sick again, you can know you have it. For a solid diagnosis, a biopsy and genetic test can be done.
Celiac often goes hand in hand with M.S.

Sadly hardly any docs make the connection between diet and health issues.....with the exception of obesity, but even then docs are afraid to say anything.

Celiac goes hand in hand with MS? That’s new to me!

Yep. I'm celiac and changing my diet helped my symptoms immensely. I was having severe myofascial pain, stomach pain, diarrhea, gas, etc...and one I went gluten free, all that stopped. And going gluten free is something that can just be tried on one's own - if it works, you haven't lost a thing!

@Painful struggle - do you use a CPAP? What are you doing for your back issues (assuming you are having a lot of pain there)? I also have scoliosis and disc issues - it wasn't until I went to a massage therapist that also does energy work that I discovered I have inflammation in my back, hip, and neck and that I had large knots in many of my muscles that are contributing to the pain.

Hi, yes I use CPAP and if I don't use it when I wake up my heart is racing 200 beats a minute. I think it's why I now have pulmonary hypertension which needs to be treated by one of about 10 clinics in the US that treat it. I don't have the stamina or ability to get to one of them and can barely walk or stand. I live as a totally handicapped person, alone without help. It's awful.
