God that whole " you're in a relationship/married so it's implied consent" thing really pisses me off. At what point is it no longer implied consent and it's just flat out expected? You're not allowed to say no BECAUSE you're the spouse/ significant other? Maybe I'm just confused because of...

For me knowing somebody knows ( however I'm not a child) fills me with shame. I get the feeling my kids are/ were the same way. It's such a delicate situation. I wish there was an easy answer that fit everybody.

I went through this with my kids. They weren't ready and all they did was shut down. But do what you think is right.

You don't. You wait for her to come to you about it at some point if she wants to. If she had been abused she may not be ready to talk about it and on the off chance she wasn't, you don't want to give her the idea she was.

I can't speak for the bowel issue but I've had trouble with my bladder before with no infection ( not to the extent that you have though) and was told to take foods out that are irritating to the bladder. You can research what those are online but off the top of my head... Berries, tomatoes...
