nic,
That is what my doc said to do. Carry in my purse just in case. She said it's like a comforting baby blanket. Even if I never use them, they are there for emergencies.

I cut off my mom a year before she died. What, I mourned was now that she was gone there would be no hope of maybe her changing and being a real mom to me. I cut off my older sister 4 years ago and don't miss her or the drunk calls. I recently cut off my other sister as I saw the relationship...
I had shoulder surgery done on Wenesday and it wasn't too bad as far as pain. I am bored, can't do too much of anything but read or email quick responses as my shoulder was done on the left side and am left handed. All and all for having 2 surgeries 2 days apart, I'm feeling pretty good. On the...
Fighting Lily,
The start of my husband's P.T.S.D. and a repeat of mine was when his son was murdered. His mother told him the day he buried his 23 year old son was "get over it and move on with your life." We were totally shocked.

Good for you, you pushed yourself and went. You will never regret it. You showed how proud you were of her by your attendance. As, I have said in the past our worries and fears are worse than the final outcome. It is never as bad as we preceive.

I find myself less able to deal with people. I use to bottle things inside but lately, I have been saying what's on my mind. I don't get violent but confrontational when I see wrong being done. My T has been trying to teach me cognitive skills so I can learn to go to my safe space and think of...
I was on Efferox for awhile and it helped at the time. I did not face withdraws either. I am on Cymbalta and have noticed jumps in my body, hands, arms, legs ect.

Zeke,
I have found out for myself that my worries don't turn out as bad as what goes on in my head. Hopefully, that will be your outcome on dealing with your issues.

Roxanne,
Welcome to the forum! If you get on the right meds "for you" than you can deal with issues much better than before. You won't dislike yourself or blame yourself as much. You will be more rational and have more control of your temper or able to deal with anger better. At least that is...
Well, I had the heart catherization yesterday and it turned out there was no blockage. Tomorrow, I go for the shoulder surgery. I am not scared just worried of the pain. Thanks for all those who cared to encourage me.

Portabella,
My regrets to you on your cat. I had 2 guienia pigs for 5 years and cried for weeks when they passed on. I have a dog named Marshmellow. You chose a good name. Time heals all and by getting a new cat this will divert your attention on your loss.

I have been preparing myself for shoulder surgery on Wenesday. I went for a stress test and EKG yesterday. They found a blockage and now Monday I have to have a catherization and angioplastly. I am not sure if, I will be able to have Wendesday's surgery. I know of many who had strokes from this...
Wow, I too have heard "get on with your life, put it in the past, it was so long ago". If, "I could put it in my past do you think I chose to live like this" is my answer.
I do not like myself when I go through set backs. Does anyone that doesn't like themselves chose to think that way? Not, I...
I was told that the band cannot self adjust. It can however come undone than one needs to have the surgery over again. One was suppose to start eating small meals before the surgery and after they give you a protein drink for about 3-4 weeks so your stomach gets use to eating little. If you...

I was going to get the band and changed my mind. What type of problems have you encountered. I know this isn't the ? you were asking but I am curious on the band.

Grama-Herc,
I am so pleased these little babies are helping you. My sister is 56 years old and now owns a part-time dog. (she shares it w/ boyfriend in seperate apt.)
This is her 1st dog since leaving home @18. She never wanted a pet or child which caused her divorce. Now, she can't believe how...

Good for you. I own a Tuscan Hundyai. I love the fact that it has bumper to bumper 5 year warranty. I get all worked up when things do not go good but things always work out. It is easier for me to tell someone else this than to remember it myself.
I had a car that I named Emma. It gave...
So sad your story. I hope you keepwriting to get some more of your issues out. Writing is the best therapy and of course finding the right therapist to aid you in the process of your recovery. I wish you well.

Welcome to the forum. So sad to read your story. How do your parents feel now that you are grown up and tell them what you encountered in the past
that they chose to ignore what you were going through? Hope you find help in and outside this forum. You need to or you will be like me trapped at 55...
Mick,
I don't know if you are on any anti-depressions or sleeping pills. Some of these like Ambien have now been noted for people waking up in the middle of the night and driving, walking ect. A side effect of this drug.
If you are, I would check with your doc.
