Abuse regarding periods?

Hi, ok so I went through a lot of sexual abuse at the hands of my step father for a lot of years, but a lot of it was fuelled by his hatred for me getting periods. I started therapy 4 weeks ago and I do really like my therapist but I can't help feeling awkward about bringing this up with her. Has anyone else gone through abuse surrounding their period or know of any other cases like this? I've looked online but I can't find anyone who has had a similar situation or any advice. I'm sorry if this is really long winded, I'm just nervous about posting :(

I did not have sexual abuse regarding my period but I had a lot of emotional and verbal abuse. My whole family joined in. If anyone figured out it was my period that was announced in a derogatory tone. All sorts of comments about me and my body would be made. If I spotted through it was really awful. I have talked about it in therapy and things even more awkward and my therapist is fine with it. I am sure your therapist has heard even more personal details and should be fine with it.

(to clarify any future confusion, I was born in a female body with all it's functions but am transgender and transitioned years ago and go by he/him)
