Hi All,
I have been told that a change of medication is advisable. I have been on prozac for 6 months. The psychologist recommends a straight switch to somthing that works in a different way. She says a straight switch is advisable instead of a gradual off, then on approach due to my current "crisis". I don't like the use of that term, because it sounds far too serious. However, seeing as my GP also mentioned a change might be in order, it seems that it is inevitable, regardless of the description of the place I'm at.
Question is -what do I change to? Another SSRI? One of the older types? Then there's potential side-effects. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I don't want to be on anything that is going to cause weight gain (other issues there too!). I'm sure I should be thinking of other, much more important side-effects than weight gain, but hey, I'm not exactly my usual clear-thinking self at the moment!
I'm basically right in the shit and could use some constructive advice. :drugs: :crazy-eye :dont-know
