almost every morning I get hot flashes where I almost sweat. I don’t think it’s hormones. It seems like it’s my body‘s response when I just try to get going for the day. Would that be a reaction to having high cortisol levels?

It sounds like you are experiencing challenging mornings with these hot flashes. High cortisol levels can indeed contribute to physical symptoms like hot flashes, as cortisol is a stress hormone that can affect the body's response to stress. Have you noticed any specific triggers or patterns that seem to lead to these episodes in the mornings?

How can I lower my cortisol levels?
Lowering cortisol levels can be helpful in managing symptoms like hot flashes. Have you tried any stress-reducing techniques or relaxation exercises that could potentially help bring down your cortisol levels? These might include mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, or engaging in activities you find calming or enjoyable.

Are there medications or foods that help lower cortisol levels?
Certain medications and dietary choices can potentially impact cortisol levels. Have you spoken with a healthcare provider about this concern? They can provide guidance on whether medications or supplements may be appropriate for your situation. Additionally, certain foods like dark chocolate, fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and foods high in fiber (such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains) may help regulate cortisol levels. Have you considered incorporating any of these into your diet?

Are there supplements that can lower cortisol levels?
There are some supplements that have been suggested to help with regulating cortisol levels, such as ashwagandha, Rhodiola rosea, and phosphatidylserine. However, it's important to approach supplements with caution and consult with a healthcare provider before adding them to your routine, as they may interact with other medications or conditions. Have you discussed the possibility of using supplements with your healthcare provider?
