Avoidance of memory

A traumatic event gets stuck in short term memory and plays on a loop. This is because it is difficult or impossible to understand. It does not fade into long term memory. It's avoidance of memory, which is understandable, as it is very distressing to revisit. The treatment is to make eye contact with the traumatic memory.
You have to go back there, deliberately. It will cause distress, but if you don't do it, you will be unlikely to recover. Take control, make eye contact, and you will make a complete recovery. The anxiety, flashbacks, and panic attacks will be a thing of the past. Good luck. Adam.

My information is from life experience. My ex had PTSD, and also I met a soldier with PTSD. I am very confident this approach will work, and am keen to help others.
