Below safety line

Last weekend my mental health deterioted and below my safety line, I tried ringing the Crisis team and after 15 min gave up, I also tried the samaritans and it was same with them, if it wasn't for my counseller who I get therapy with, and messaging her I don't think I would have been writing this now.
Anyway I managed to get past the weekend and got docs appointment straight away, which resulted in 2 options, 1 be admitted to hospital or 2 the Crisis team but she would contact them, I went for option 2.
After speaking with them I destroyed the medication I had stockpiled.
Although I felt drained afterwards and i still continue to get intrusive thoughts which do not leave me even now this weekend.

Hiya @Johnm64 welcome to the site. What was the medication that you destroyed?

and you are reaching out for peer support, as well. well done, my healing warrior. count not how many times you have fallen, but how many times you have gotten back up. i am guessing that you are not in much of a party mood yet, but i hope you'll take the time to offer yourself a treat to celebrate the job well done. you saw. you recognized. you acted. may you ultimately conquer, as well.

I take mirtazipine 45mg at night and escitalopram 20mg at the morning. I find it very useful. Why didn't you feel that it was useful talking to the samaritans?
I was originally on 45mg then got it reduced as not working for me, I tried ringing them but like crisis team took to long to answer even when number 1 in queue, unfortunately my mind was elsewhere

I'm surprised myself as I usually don't share my thoughts and keep them bottled up

bottling up my emotions is a sure route to turning myself into a molotov cocktail, ready to explode with the smallest spark.

dare to share freely. share often.

Hi @Johnm64 , I hope you are feeling a bit better. For me it felt really strange and unsafe and not important to share what I feel (minimization) but here many can relate or understand, or support or help if they can. I only used the Samaritans once and I really censored what I said. Welcome to you.
