Hi all...

Seems like God must have a sense of humor. I'm getting ready to drive down to the States from Canada to be with my family for the holidays. I was having some car issues so decided to take my car for a test run. I broke down about 20 km from home. I think it's a fuel line problem...or something that has to do with the fuel. I put the deicer stuff in the tank. But I'm not a mechanic.

Now my car is sitting on the side of the road in a small town until tomorrow. Hopefully, it won't get towed. I left a note on the windshield explaining that I'd be back in the morning.

At least I didn't break down in the middle of nowhere, but it's still a big hassle.

So glad to have some folks to vent to.
Peace,
Real

I'm sorry you're having car trouble, especially when you're trying to get to your family for the holiday. Hope your car issues are resolved quickly so you can get to your family in time for Christmas.

If it makes you feel any better, my daughter and I had an accident 10 days ago and my car was totaled. Overall, we're both okay. But a real PITA getting around and figuring out how I'm going to buy another safe, reliable car with the insurance money we got. It was a fair settlement for our car but that's rarely enough for getting another.

Car troubles are a PITA!!!!! Mine last car died one morning, after I had just got it out of the garage the day before. I decided then to bite the bullet, and buy a brand new one. My first ever.....

I hope that your troubles are small, and can be fixed quickly.....Hang in there....

Real, I hope you get your car sorted out quickly for the holiday.
My car keeps being frozen... on the inside, which is annoying, cold and wet!!

Hope things are relatively hassle free and you get where you need to be.

Regards, CB

It is kind of amusing, just because I know it'll work out. Once I was planning a trip from Ohio to NH and back. The day prior to leaving the brakes started going bad. By the time I finished my trip, they were screeching metal on metal. Another time the night before Thanksgiving I got stuck in the Poconos with a cracked radiator. Had to rent a car...a very expensive trip. I'm used to breaking down, it's just a royal pain. Fortunately, this time I didn't have my little dog with me.

Sorry about your car troubles! Definitely makes me glad that I don't have a car any more! Now the only thing I have to worry about breaking are my legs or the subway.
