I hear that, @LostLarry . Isolation is one of the worst symptoms of depression - and the longer a person isolates, the harder and harder it gets to try and reach back out into the world. How are things for you with real-life supports?
i hide myself too, its not easy to let people in.
i tend to behave as people expect me to, happy bubbly and smiling when really im dying inside.
plus i cant stand the pity i get from people, i mean really, people, i dont need your pity, i need someone to just be there.
but... i dont want you either because ive never really had someone at my side before and it feels strange, wrrong even... @LostLarry i feel you.
We all need a friend. I used to suffer from isolation, still do. Depressed, no friends. My mum comes round 2-3 times a week, I go to counselling and a walking group today which is great, we're a tight group.
Try to talk to people on here, it helps, get involved in conversation.
