Help getting me on a plane

Smile

My sister is sick & I was going to fly out to her the same day she went into hospital but…

I had a major panic attack a few hours b4 flight and had to cancel it.

Now it’s 2 weeks later and I’m still trying to get to her. I have a few things to do but that’s not what’s stopping me. I don’t know what is. Been working nonstop with T on it.

Point is, I’m having panic and anxiety attacks 24/7. Barely sleeping or eating etc.

Going there would also be a vacation, which would be great.

Last time I flew was 6 years ago.

Any advice? Please????

I use ‘in event of emergency break glass’ meds when I don’t have a few months -to a couple years- to work on something.

I also take them BEFORE I need them, rather than waiting to see if I can suck it up, when it’s an important thing needing doing.

Planes are a helluva lot cheaper than trains or boats, but those are 2 other options if they work better.

Great idea that I just thought of myself. Seems to be working… it’s only been 12 hours 🤞

Did I miss something? What's the "great idea" that "seems to be working", please, Smile?

When people write under a quote above? (Like I am, now.) They’re usually replying to that post. In this case my post about either emergency meds or alternate transport. <grin> In this case my money is on taking emergency meds before I need them, when I know I’ve got something that can (either) kick off a tailspin, or be too much to even attempt; like having to cancel a flight and it being weeks later and I’m still too f*cked up to get done what needs/wants doing. No matter how much I want to.

ETA @BrettA343 If you’d like to practice quoting, just to see how the function works / play around with it/see what it looks like… DO please feel free to use the Testing forum 😎 Every time the site updates you’ll see staff in there messing about with new buttons/features/ways to do things. It’s a great place to make confusing things simple & sensible.

@Smile Ditto Bret… Curious how things went? (&/or are going if this is a long term hardship.) You may have already spoken about this elsewhere, but it’s been a rough few months ‘round Casa de la Friday & my memory is a bit fuzzy from Halloween on.

Best wishes to both you & your sister.

Thanks for asking :-) it went OK… Better than I thought it would. Sister is fine thank goodness. So many things have happened since that I totally forgot about this. Sorry for not updating :(

I’m sorry things have been so crazy by you… On the upswing yet?

I’ve been waiting 10 months for an “emergency” appointment with neurologist & spine specialist, and have been off work due to that since Halloween. I don’t really expect things to get better anymore (I was hoping a few weeks off work would sort me! >.<) until I can unf*ck my back. Ah Covid. The gift that keeps giving. It’s a good pain day, today though, so I’m enjoying it! 😎

That truly sucks @Friday … Covid keeps on giving just like our ridiculous health insurance systems. Truly pisses me off.
Side note: how does Covid screw up your back??
