I'm struggling with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts that I would never act on. My question is: Does anyone think emotional regulation, mindfulness techniques, relaxation techniques, grounding techniques, distress tolerance skills and calming strategies help with suicidal thoughts and mental health problems
 
no apology needed for the hiatus, amg. move at whatever speed or intensity fits your comfort zone.

i swear by all of those techniques for my personal mental health, but mastery takes time. they are not microwave solutions.

Yes, I think they work, with or without a therapist.
