Other I've stumped 2 doctors and 3 nurses with this very strange problem, what could it be? somatic?

it started about 5 years ago when i noticed 2 of the toes on my right foot were always very cold, but my other toes felt normal.
even if i wore 5 pair of wool socks those 2 toes would still be cold.
the only thing that helps is when HEAT is applied to those toes, extra socks did not help at all.
after about 2 years its gradually became my whole right foot is always colder than the other side, not just those 2 toes.
now i also have one hand that gets colder than the other one.
its extremely annoying and distressing especially when it gets cold outside, because than it gets worse.
the doctor ran some test to see if it was a circulation problem, but the veins looked the same size on both sides of my body.
I've heard it could be nerve related but i havent been to a nerve specialist.
i tell everyone about this problem, and no one has ever heard of such a thing.
does anyone have any idea what it could be? is it possible that its somatic?
if so, than what kind of trauma could cause such a thing? because i dont recall any events that made one hand and foot colder than the other side.
i have been trying to figure it out for years, and i can never find any answers, i wonder if i ever will find answers.

Even if doctors can’t figure it out, it still sounds more medical than somatic. Took me a long time to figure out that me being cold is a sign I need to eat. It’s how my body works. My friend complains of one foot being cold as you say and not much warms it. His comes from neuropathy or diabetes related but they don’t really know. He did suffer from artery clogging in his legs which they cleared and he still has the problem. He complains of it being ice cold, where as the other foot is fine.

Raynaud's

Likely. Nerve damage....possible. Tight compression of foot/toes can do it for a time as in hiking boots, steel plates or so many of the womens shoes. Generally nerves will "repair" from point of damage...aka compression, damage (not severed) at roughly 1cm/mois. I have seen folks with long term numbness etc gradually recover.

Could be neuropathy but less likely...unless pre/diabetic, longer term hypothyroid etc.

My opinion highly unlikely somatic and see a different doc, this is not that unusual.

Good luck,

@hope4us - I'm interested in your title for this thread -

As others on this thread have pointed out, the problem you're experiencing is (in fact) fairly common, and unlikely to be somatic.

Why do you want to turn it into a mystery?

ive never heard of someone having a problem with only one side getting cold... neither have the 20-30 people ive talked to about it. Ive def heard of people getting cold hands and feet... but not on just one side of their body. the fact that only one side is affected is whats making it a mystery

Who are you talking to? A quick google search immediately says Reynauld's for instance can affect one side, specific digits etc.

I have no idea if you have Reynaulds but I have seen countless people with similar phenomena.

i have been trying to figure it out for years, and i can never find any answers, i wonder if i ever will find answers.

Really? Have you seen medical professional(s) or is this self diagnosis, talks with friends/family? Stick with the former not the latter.
