June 27th PTSD Awareness and visit

Today my Son came over and we spoke about various hard subjects that I had wanted to share for a while (after working with my T). Sometimes my take on things is not really the whole picture being filtered through PTSD messiness. The conversation went well. I felt that I understood clearer his take on my developing a stronger relationship with my Granddaughter. I understood where I had misunderstood causing myself undue stress and feelings of unrealistic rejection.

Often, because I am on the mental health spectrum…I worry about upsetting the apple cart just being me. I was reassured, given compassion and felt heard. It made it so much more meaningful when I discovered this happened on our PTSD Awareness Day.

So at the risk of sounding too commercial… I hope you as well had a moment today where someone saw you for you. Take care.
