Nausea: your go to fixes!!

Yep, agree with @Friday , Ondansetron is the shit.

It's also waaaaay outta my price range, so I usually stick with the ole faithful metoclopramide for really bad hits of nausea.

I drink a lot of water and I take a prazole daily (there's several different prazoles that do similar things - I know a lot of folks with ptsd who take a prazole of some kind each day). I can get by on a low dose - I need to be able to eat.

Once the nausea is bad enough that I stop being able to eat it's not sustainable. And I'm prone to stomach ulcers.

Tbh, most of the options you've listed do SFA for me (at best - some of them would defo make it worse!) and that's largely because I tend to be too dissociated to notice mild symptoms. I notice my body isn't cooperating when it gets unmanageable, like I'm throwing up, or gagging over breakfast.

For folks without ptsd? Sure. Bring on the peppermint tea. Regular folks tend to notice mild nausea, when those sorts of solutions can still work.

But if your body is locked in a constant state of hyperarousal, nausea is occurring because your brain has shut down your digestive system. Throwing more random shit into your digestive system in the hope that it will help isn't necessarily gonna have the same impact it would for milder nausea.

Try everything once. And if all else fails, drink more water.

Me three.

When my nausea is really bad, I take one and curl up into a ball until it subsides enough to be able to sit up / walk / consider food.
Here (NZ) it is available on subsidised prescription. I realise it might not be as accessible in other countries, though.

Typically, my nausea is stress-related, and leads to reduced food/water intake, leading to more nausea, etc etc.
In instances where I don't take an anti-emetic, I will usually try and distract myself and sip on cold water, until I have enough in my stomach to settle it a little, break that cycle and allow me to consider food. It does help.
 
I swear by ondansetron as well but for non prescription alternatives:
Emetrol - over the counter
100% pure pear juice (found in the baby aisle)
Here in the US Vernor's Ginger Ale, no other brand

Odanastan is a great, almost instant nausea reliever. Its sad that so many Americans can't afford most drugs and our pharma companies sell them at cost to all other countries.
There is a new online pharmacy that offers discount prescription drugs: Costplusdrugs.com They don't carry all drugs but they are increasing their selection all the time. I hope you find your needed script on their site.

depends on the cause. I like that what the navy calls seasickness, the air force calls 'stomach consciousness'. My go to when it is motion sickness is to stay busy. When it's my boat and I am busy, big waves are just part of the scenery. put me on a charter, someone baiting my hook and netting my fish, and 10 minutes of just staring at the rod tip has me either engrossed in conversation or trying to remember the capital cities of all the states or counting the light sockets in my 3d memory of my house layout, or yodeling like there is no tomorrow.
for medical or illness induced vertigo or just plain old nausea, Friday has the cure, see above.
 
Ginger Ale. It's all about the ginger. Better brands like Boylans use a better grade of ginger which tastes better so they can put more in.

Other than that Schweppes works best. Way too much codeine for months before eye surgery and that stuff rips the hell put of your guts so I sampled a lot of ginger ale.
