Welcome, Rose. And good for you for reaching out. I've been struggling with this for probably about 15 years. I was diagnosed in 2006, but I had symptoms for a few years before that; just put off finding a therapist again. All kinds of therapy and meds. Gah, more meds than I can even keep track of. Just three now.

There are tons of good people here who take this journey seriously. You've come to the right place :).

Welcome Rose, Let the adventure begin!! Tons of information to explore and lots of new friends to meet. Even after 40+ years of dealing with PTSD I have picked up new insights and new tricks in the month i have been hanging around.

Hope to meet you live and in person some day in the chat room. We are glad you are here with us.

Thanks for the post Rose.welcome to this healing community. Lots of good folks here. No time like the present to start this journey. Realizing that you can't go it alone took me 17 years also. I started back into therapy and join My PTSD the same day also my 62 birthday. Glad you found us. Hope to see you around.
Peace be safe

Welcome to the site, Rose. I think you will find a lot of people you can relate to here. It's a very welcoming and accepting community.

I wish I could go back to not being on meds. I've been on meds for a very long time, and they just keep adding more and more between my outpatient psychiatrist and all the inpatient hospitals I go to, and now it's a long list of meds that makes it hard to sort out what drug is doing what.

I hope it's ok with the site moderators if I warn you about something. In case you did not realize this, the whole site is searchable by Google and other search engines. Anything you post or respond to can show up in someone's google search. So if Rose Hamblin is your real full name, your posts could show up in a google search of your name.
