Non Triggering TV/Movies

Anyone got any light weight TV/ Movies they'd recommend? For me I avoid romance/ trauma content. Which can be hard as everything is written that way, Let me know what you've found that you enjoy. x

For 'safe' TV I love Bob's Burgers, Golden Girls (though it does contain romance).

I think "Unstoppable" with yummy Denzel is exciting and well done. It's a runaway train movie (pretty formulaic), but it always is a good distraction.

First off no screaming in live action. I can deal with a little as long as its not agonal screaming (agonized or painful), its part of a joke, or its followed by lightness and laughter.

Looney Tunes - I have a huge collection of original full length cartoons and they are a favorite.
Shaun the Sheep. Its bright, cheery funny and it has that English sing along theme song, that you inevitably sing along to.
The Muppet Show. Again - Funny, sing along.
The Penguins of Madagascar - again, fun funny, animated.

Seems lots of people here like animated movies a lot too. Snow White, The Jungle Book, The Dark Crystal, Yellow Submarine, are some I have. Stupid silly comedies like Mel Brooks films, Airplane, Blues Brothers, Monty Python movies are good too.

Depends on the trauma but Does the dog die is a good place for basically any trigger you could possibly have. You can check before you watch it also has a really good data base as apposed to Unconsenting media which is specifically for sexual violence. I have stumped that one a couple time with either very new or quite old or obscure films/shows. It’s always my go to first it’s very user friendly but does the dog die does have an app.

Hope this helps.
