I haven't been on in a few years. I looked and saw my last post before yesterday was in 2018 about my precious kitties deaths.

I have been working really hard on my healing journey and been doing well at it overall. I even managed to start feeling some anger and making decisions for what's best for my family and I rather than just going along with what has always been or what is expected.

I wanted to share that we did get two kittens. They're now three. The girl kitty is Regina and is a diluted calico. She's nearly as anxious as me, but she's sweet and stays with me. She also comes when she's called and can recognize few words like how a dog may recognize walk. Her brother is an orange tabby. He is the sweetest, biggest cat I have ever known. You can just look at him and he purrs. He's a snuggle bug and loves everyone even the kids. We almost lost him to a virus before 2, but we were able to save him.

looks like you and i are on similar connect/reconnect cycles for this one jek. the covidic real time disconnects are wreaking havoc on my therapy maintenance and hearing issues make the zoom boom less than adequate for my personal use. so. . . here i am. again. . . i hate being labeled a "ptsd pro," but i reckon i've been called worse.

hope to see you around.

I didn't even see that label of PTSD pro. I know I have definitely been called worse. I was fortunate enough to see my therapist in person this summer. We do Zoom through the winter because she goes south, but it was a lot harder to transition back after seeing her in person after a year and a half of not. Sorry that it's wreaking havoc on your therapy.

i started my computer career in 1973 when people still looked at me like i had 3 heads for using words like, "internet." that career was military and we jumped on using our point-to-point circuits to provide emotional support for troops in isolated assignments pretty early on. i, personally, was already in psychotherapy for what is now being called, "ptsd." i have been as active as possible in the development of on-line therapy support ever since.

on my radar, the ranking systems developed with the gamer market in the 80's. i am guilty of pro prudery in the social distance i have maintained from gamers, in general. i'm still sorting my reactions to allowing a ranking system within my therapy support network. always something, huh? not to worry, though. i am treating my reactions as a strictly personal phenom and working through those reactions as they arise. works in progress.
