Understood, and again, I am not attempting to diagnose anyone. I am simply trying to understand the differences.It's important to note that the symptoms of dissociative disorders can vary widely from person to person, and diagnosis should always be done by a qualified mental health professional based on a thorough evaluation of an individual's symptoms, history, and overall mental health.
SD, as I understand it, is simply a matter of having been traumatized in some way (while young I suppose) and having had to file away emotional parts of oneself. Perhaps because emotions were unsafe to present outwardly. Therefore, emotional pieces of oneself are not available throughout development. Have I got that right?
