Taking A Mental Health Day

I let my managers know I'm taking a personal day tomorrow for mental health, which I really do need.
Afterward, I felt completely anxious and guilty. But I am choosing to reframe this as a positive step as I make choices to take care of myself.
I had a really stressful and triggering week last week and today has been really difficult emotionally as well as physically. I am lucky enough to have a job that offers personal days in addition to sick days and vacation. These personal days exist to cover necessities like this.
Funny how sometimes the stuff that feels awful to do is actually a sign that we are doing something good for ourselves and feeling guilty about it.
I will choose to keep reframing the guilt into a positive as I continue to take better care of myself.
