M: Look, Padre: We are asked every day to make judgements between good and evil on the basis of incomplete information. We are told, "By their fruits, you will know them. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor a bad tree good fruit" I look at God's work and the Church's work, and I see evil.

Have you ever read the Bible? There is no such thing as "mortal sin". Christ died to save sinners. Once saved always saved. The only unpardonable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. That is directly from God's Word, not from a man who is no different than you. The only person you need to discuss your "sin" with is the Lord...and He will immediately forgive you. Remember the thief on the cross? If you want to discuss why there is suffering in the world, let me know.
