Hi, I'm new here, I was searching for information and came across this forum.
I've suffered from PTSD for 19 years following my exposure to a bomb explosion in Northern Ireland, which killed 29 people.
I've had various treatments over the years, been hospitalised, even had ECT.
Currently I'm seeing a trauma counsellor, herein lies my concern/question.
August is a particularly tough month for me, as this is the anniversary of the bomb.
At my session yesterday I was in a really bad place mentally. After about 20 minutes my therapist asked me if I minded if she got up and moved around as there was so much negative energy in the room and it was affecting her.
I honestly don't know where to turn, has anyone else had anything similar, I now have the added guilt of making her feel bad!
I would be grateful if anyone had any suggestions
