What’s your favorite?

mrs. Dosky, third grade. When I handed in all of my spelling assignments for the whole year just a week or two in she was challenged instead of put off by it. I know now that i was lucky not to be written off as “low need” as so many kids are today. When teachers are stretched so thin that high need kids go wanting it kind of has to happen. Mrs. Dosky had the time and was able to keep me engaged thankfully. She made a difference in a lot of lives I am sure.

Favorite way to stay engaged in spite of the barricades our disorder puts up?

big orchid fan. They can seem so alien to this world. But real life that i see all the time locally? A weed. Queen Annes lace. It was my moms favorite and it grows wherever you let it. Im glad my grandmother told me she liked it

favorite game played with a standard deck of cards

that goldstar i rode left a mark on me, yep. real bike that smelled like hot oil and was a bitch to start if you knew not of top dead center. You learned that if you took your clutch fingers off the lever and you could count the strokes one at a time you were about to……yeah, left a mark.
Favorite old airplane?

I currently have a BSA b50 MX, they are beautiful things once you understand them. Mine starts on the first or second kick. Tickle the carb, get it just past tdc then kick it with no throttle. Without the throttle open it sucks fuel through the pilot jet like it was a straw. Works every time.

My favorite old airplane is the Jefferson Airplane.

Favorite Rolling Stones song?

oh man, a fav beatles is tough. one goes into another over and over for the past fifty years. The first record i bought as a kid was a plastic ono band 45 of “imagine”. they were already broken up. Over the next couple of years i dove into album after album and even now i discover stuff i love that i missed because i was drinking from a firehose. Lately i appreciate Ringos drumming and use of late beat and its like i am hearing songs for the first time again.
My daughter chose “in my life” for our dance at her wedding, thats going to be near the top for the duration i think.

Favorite Beatles album?
