What Is On Your Mind Right This Second?

Sometimes you don't get you're drained until you haven't done anything for 2 days besides obsessively watch TV.
I'm scared and tired and sad and hurt but of course that isn't helping. Fresh start tomorrow, early night tonight.
I'm not going to let this be an "can't do this anymore" moment again.
I feel it's close but I'll do my best to not let it get any closer.

I'm not sure what I feel exactly, but a man was shot and killed at a bus stop I always use after (potentially seriously) injuring a cop. I was just there but not then. I use it a lot. There is violence everywhere of course but that spot is usually manageable as was earlier in the day and stores open, safer end of town. That's the 2nd time there was a fatality in the last few months at stops I use , and I avoided by 1/2 hour one where a guy amputated a strangers leg with a machete getting off a bus a while back when I was on my way to work. Feel badly for all of them and also glad I wasn't privy to it or there then. I've managed to dodge most direct confrontations. But it will feel strange at that stop to know what occurred there.

its a dangerous world. Random violence on the news today, people in the wrong place at the wrong time. how do you avoid it when it is anywhere, anytime?

I remember being concerned about the new drug testing policy being put in place in the late eighties where i work (yep. since’87) I stood and asked about the possibility of false positive tests and was told to relax, I had a better chance of winning the lottery. Not true! I replied. Yes, it is true i was told coldly. No! I insisted, i had a much greater chance of suffering a false positive because I dont play the damn lottery. Applause from co workers followed and a clear look of anger from the HR manager. I have never been tested except once after an accident, no randoms.
My point- I would sure like to stop
playing the random violence lottery. a long driveway with cameras and alarms in the middle of absolutely nowhere gets a lot of thought these days, weighed against the convenience of proximity to good pizza

Random testing just doesn't work. If you can get false positives, you can get false negatives too.

How to find out your T is right? Get smacked with what you finally realize is a trauma anniversary, circa 1981..... just in time for Christmas. Yeah....
