I would really appreciate replies on this. There's no good therapist (Or pretty much any) in my area. Just sucky counselors. The only good ones my insurance won't cover cause they're not in my county. I'm a teen and my family is too poor to pay out of pocket at all for it and my parents won't switch insurances. To be honest I kind of doubt my mom would go that far anyway as I have physical health issues too we have to go out of city for. I've been waiting years for therapy and am having trouble getting out of bed anymore. My mom isn't taking it seriously and I'm truly lost on what I should do.

I wanted to reply to let you know that I had read this. I don't have any ideas at the moment but will check back in if I do... Hoping something comes to pass for you. So sorry.

If you're going to specialists for physical problems? Try speaking with them. Clinics often have MSWs on staff, or really good connections into local resources. If they know you are looking for a trauma therapist they may well be able to help find you someone in their local network. Which means they're probably covered by your insurance, as your specialist is covered by your insurance. Could really be a win/win if you could have both your physical appointments & your therapy appointments in the same clinic/campus. The extra time meanwhile, speaking as a hospital mom, would give your mom more time to get stuff done. It's often a LOT easier for me, as a parent, when my son had back to back appointments (or little enough gap in between) that I could just go run errands.
