Hello everyone. I am from Worthing, West Sussex UK. I am a carer to my Wife who has PTSD among other things. I would like to be able to have other people in the same boat to chat, vent, laugh and help if I can.

I don't really have anyone in my life who truly understands what its like to have the person you love have to deal with PTSD and all the resultant effects it has on both of us.

To break the ice a random question for anyone who would like to message me.

Love Who, that's a very hard question Russ! Nice to hear from a fellow Whovian, 10 is great but I grew up with J.P. and Tom Baker and the sea devils!

I have Fibromyalgia as well as P.T.S.D. and am very lucky to have a loving husband and an amazing daughter. Although I don't ever lash out verbally or physically, it doesn't effect me in that way. I do very often wake up in a cold sweat shaking and scared, I relive stuff in my dreams as well as having intrusive thoughts of past traumas that I would sooner forget. I also get upset easily and I can become extremely distant with people. I also suffer with pain and exhaustion every day so although I try not to winge like I'm moaning now! I'm sure it must be very wearing for both my hubby and my girl. Some days we have s'pose to have gone out somewhere but unfortunately I can't always manage it, I don't know if any of this would sound vaguely familiar to you.
