Years later and still struggling

Discussion in 'Sexual Assault' started by movingforwarddd, Jun 2, 2018.

I was first sexually assaulted when I was 14 by my first (and only) high school boyfriend. He didn't rape me, but he held me down and did sexual things to me while I cried. It changed me, and I spent years trying to cope with it, alone. I graduated highschool and was hopeful to start fresh away at college. My first semester was great and I was doing really well. But spring semester that year, I was raped in the bathroom at a frat house party, which is also how I lost my virginity. I was 19 then, I'm now 22 and still can't seem to put it behind me.

Do you have the option of seeking out counseling, perhaps through your school?
