professional background: I've been in some sort of emergency services since I was 18 years old. Much of that time was as a paramedic in a busy urban environment. Thoroughly burned out, I ended up leaving the ambulance work to be a physician assistant, graduating from PA school in 2014. I've worked in a number of medical disciplines and spent a year in a remote bush hospital in West Africa.

family bio: I've been married for 22 years, have three kids, one of who just started college. I love my kids, my wife, and my dog.
