I have been following this forum for several months. I am currently battling severe PTSD with a great therapist, and another therapist using EMDR. I chose not to ride the drug rollercoaster after many attempts, this combined with Chronic pain has made this battle tough. This forum has helped me to make decisions to fight, rather than give up. I accepted having a disability and asked for help. With that I am back in school working toward my PhD. The disbaility office and Department of Human Services have been valued partners toward success. I should be awarded my Service Dog by the beginning of next year to help me navigate the mine fields of daily life. By joining here perhaps I can help someone else looking for hope in the form of successful examples and share my trials and errors (of which there are a multitude) and my successes and not-so-muches. Many days are debilitatingly rough, but somedays I smile and see color, where before there was only black and gray. Peace!
