    Shallow breathing is sign of stressing. Try two breathing yoga aasana (postures), they are very good for de-stressing (mind) and also good for heart and lungs. 1) Anulom-Vilom 2) Bharmari These are Indian names, google them and you can see them on YouTube. Good Lick!
