I was finally seen by a counselor after avoiding the dreaded appointment for roughly ten years, and after a lot of tears at basic questions, was diagnosed with PTSD and moderate to severe general anxiety, possibly related, and severe clinical depression. I took a couple weeks to process, and then went looking online for support sites and found this.
