25 year old Marine Corps veteran... Got out a few months early in order to start school on December 31st, 2008. Got multiple job offers while at school so while I've finished my Network Security certification I have not finished my AS in Computer Science... Working on it slowly.
I joined the USMC right after I turned 17 and was with an infantry unit 3rd Battalion 4th Marines as Tactical Communications but got stuck doing infantry stuff as well. My first tour was 1 month after I turned 18 and was to Fallujah, Iraq during the assault. My second was to Al Qa'im, Iraq where we lost 15 people to roadside bombs alone and I was present for multiple of them. Twice I drove over a bomb somehow not setting it off but it detonated when the vehicle behind me went over it.
My main PTSD issues are sleep, nightmares, and panic attacks. I have lots of trouble falling asleep and when I do fall asleep I wake up many times. I have lots of nightmares, some of them recurring a lot of times it's the same scenario but with different people and locations.
