My late husband died in 2012 from complications of type 2 diabetes. He had a pornography addiction as well. His guilt and shame made him unable to focus on anything healthy and contributed to his death. I know now he also had ACE like me. I was a codependent people pleaser etc. I got bacterial meningitis of my brain May 2014 . I was on a vent in a medically induced coma septic multi organ failure. A craniotomy was done to remove an abscess in my left temporal lobe. It was and still is a journey to get my health back. I became sars cov 2 positive on july 8 2020. Minor allergic rhinitis symptoms. I am recovered. I am engaged to a man I met on a senior dating app here in Missouri. Interestingly we both have trauma in our backgrounds. I have had CBT DBT trauma recovery. I continuously work on my issues. I am on a debt free path. I take no benzodiazepines or opiates. My trauma also involved healing from spiritual abuse as well.
