I fell in love with a soldier who has PTSD issues and he thinks he may still love his ex-wife, although he has done nothing to get back together with her. Some how I believe it's all a defense mechanism. Sure I think he still cares for her, and they have a history. But he maybe using it so he doesn't have to get close. That relationship is familiar, and he doesn't have to try. He doesn't have to be vulnerable with me or anyone else, and potentially get hurt again.
