Matthew_11C

Deployed OIF 06-08; 15 months. As my name infers, I was an indirect fire infantryman, although since we (our infantry "platoon", which was more of a section), were the only INF in our unit, we also acted as 11Bs. Although it doesn't show on my D214, a friend and I actually went to the minor paperwork to get B as our secondary MOS, you know, just in case we had the chance to get into a better unit. I am 90% SC with the other 10 taken up for by unemployability. I spent my entire childhood training myself to be an infantryman; reading TM/FMs; doing things like that; everything short of working out (I've known of people who are ripped to the gills who didn't make out of 30th AG because they couldn't make it past the 13 push up phase; too much upper body weight to push up!) with the exception of running, because it was always my weak point. Now, as a result of my PTSD/TBI, I am basically stuck (mentally) in late summer of 2007; and PTSD on its own is a son of a bitch as far as relating to others who aren't other combat veterans. Since I am unsure of what else to say, if there was any other things you would like to know, feel free to message me (I'm sure that is an option) and ask away.
