How long have you been struggling / diagnosed with PTSD and what help have you gotten?

Thanks for sharing, that's hopeful. I have to read more research but so far what I have found is that your brain physically change. Thus should be considered a brain injury. Does that ever recover physically 🤔 I didn't read that yet. Neuroplasticity would say we can create new neuro pathways...

What does it mean to do well for you?

From working in the heath field, what I have seen, is people who were charged with sexual assault had either low IQ, foetal alcohol syndrom, brain injury or something affecting their capacity to reason. Judge the behavior not the person. The behavior is very wrong, not impressive, repulsive...

What does it mean to do well for you?

That's the point im trying to illustrate here. Does doing well/good/great means the absence of struggles. I don't think so, that would be delusional. Like I said who wakes up in the morning wanting to do "bad". I put my best forward everyday. Some days I don't get the desired outcome I was...

If you can use spoons, how do you make them?

I use the dishwasher to wash my spoons. Same spoon, just looks like a new one. Meaning, if something burdens you, you only have one brain, but some not useful thinking can dirty it up, so "wash it" by eliminating not useful thoughts and try a different approach and see how it works. Seeing or...

    Feeling Disconnected from everyone

Thank you for sharing that @Friday. This is exactly what I am going through right now. I broke up with my partner, there was some money issue that put stress on us and I ended a long term relationship. We were both shocked to see ourselves at this point. We decided we wanted to end not angry at...

What does it mean to do well for you?

It's great we have organization that provides those types of services filled with "compassionate" people but a person needs to be responsible enough of their own well being to say this isn't working for me I need external help with my issue. No one is coming to my rescue I need to come forward...

What does it mean to do well for you?

I would challenge that. If every one takes care of their own well being then we don't need to take care of those around us. I'm not responsible for anyone's wellbeing. Exception made maybe with kids but then again kids are pretty good at telling us what they need or at least show us in some ways...

What does it mean to do well for you?

Its hard to see it that way some times, and not saying it's okay to rape here, but rapist are sick people to. Their behaviors are sick but you don't know how they feel, you don't know their story. Doesn't excuse the behavior but that day that might have been the best they got. They did well at...

What does it mean to do well for you?

The way I see this every one is doing very well all the time. No ones gets up in the morning wanting to do shitty. Everybody brings their best effort forward every day, they give what they have. Let's celebrate that. Sure some day doing well may mean managing getting out of bed today, getting...

How long have you been struggling / diagnosed with PTSD and what help have you gotten?

@Friday Challenge accepted. I will give that to you, I cannot say I'm 100% of the time struggling. So I would have to withdraw the word constantly and put often or even sporadically or temporarily. There are moments when I feel I'm over with this shit and having a good day but then I get...

How long have you been struggling / diagnosed with PTSD and what help have you gotten?

I like what you bring to the table, well put to. Neuroplasticity surely brings hope. With new science these days and with Teslas brain chip who knows. If a brain chip implant could make everything better for you, would you take the chip? Sci-fi stuff here but we are not far from that.

How long have you been struggling / diagnosed with PTSD and what help have you gotten?

If it does physically change your brain though, it seems we are constantly fighting an uphill battle. So even if you had done everything the best you could from the get go, yes you might of lessen the after effects of ptsd but it would still be there that's what I get from reading everyone...
